The island’s famous Brac stone has been used in  the Berlin’s Reichstag, The White House in Washington DC,  and the stunning Diocletian’s palace in Split.  Visit the stonemason school at Puscica.

Brac has numerous villages and towns  from sleepy hamlets & fishing villages to thriving tourist towns, each with it’s own attractions.

There are at least 20 restaurants    & 4  Pizzerias.  Many will do take-away  if you ask. Some also offer breakfast - try  Topolino or Santo on the Riva  for  breakfast with a view.
If you prefer to eat at  your holiday apartment, there is a daily   fresh fruit and vegetable market  plus 4 supermarkets and two  butchers shops.  The Pekara sells fresh baked bread,    savouries and pastries.
Fancy a glass of   wine with your meal? Take an empty   bottle to the Podrum, where you can buy  a litre of locally produced wine from 18  Kuna a litre. The Podrum also has a  restaurant, open in the evenings during  the summer season.
Brac has a small airport, international                   charter  flights are currently limited., On Saturdays  there are internal flights to/from Zagreb (summer only.) There are also facilities for private aircraft.
Car Ferries run daily between  Split- Supetar & Makarska-Sumartin.  A  passenger catamaran (passengers only) makes a daily  return crossing from Jelsa(Hvar)-Bol-  Split.

Brac is the largest island in Central Dalmatia. Just a short catamaran or ferry crossing from Split, the island is a popular destination for both foreign and domestic tourists.

With its climate of long, hot summers and mild winters, beautiful beaches and typical Croatian culture it offers a good variety of tourist activities
